David Moscinski, costume fabricator for the Philadelphia Mummers, custom made this one-of-a-kind Viennese ball mask as a special request from and for Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney in March of 2016 for the 4th annual United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Mayor’s Masked Ball.
Look closely and you’ll notice Moscinski incorporated the famous Liberty Bell, including its notorious crack, in silver mylar on the front of the mask above the crown.
The Pennsylvania Convention Center acquired this mask through an auction held at the ball which raises scholarship dollars for minority students.
