I grew up in a house built in 1712 and from an early age had the notion that time and place were somewhat permeable. A sense of layering has since then been a part of my work, combining at times disparate locations, adding texture, and creating the appearance of age on the image.

Bearing in mind the environmental impact of darkroom-based photography I moved to digital work some time ago. I have also, in the last several years, turned my attention toward creative writing and I’m currently working on a novel set in Elizabethan London.
