My paintings express a synthesis of shifting levels of scale and viewpoints of the natural world. To accomplish this, I use a vocabulary of forms gathered from my observation of nature, images of scientific exploration to reimagine our relationship to the cosmos. In my painting Volvox, at the Convention Center, galaxies and microorganisms interact in a celestial dance.
